LGfL Weather Station

The LGfL weather station website brings together pictures and extensive weather data from four weather stations across Lancashire.

The weather stations are found in Lancaster, Skelmersdale, and Colne and will allow users to see how the weather changes across the region during the day. You can access the individual weather stations using the navigation on the left. If you want to look at weather from around the world, look at our 'Around the world' option which allows you to look at and compare current weather data from over 70 weather stations across the world.

We have added an archive section for the weather data we have collected from our previous weather station in Chorley and this can be downloaded as a csv file. In the near future we will incorporate a similar feature for all our new weather stations, so you will be able to take away daily and monthly downloads to analyse further.

You will notice that each weather station has three extra options; graph, webcam and records. The graph facility will produce graphs for the weather data and can be altered between the different data sets by using the drop-down list at the bottom of the pop-out screen. The webcam option produces a larger image from our camera and in the future it will produce streaming video for that camera. The records section as it suggests gives you the highest and lowest records for the different data sets.
