Lancashire County Council is adhering to recent COVID- 19 Government stipulations regarding its professional development course delivery until Friday 8th May 2020. The situation will be reviewed regularly regarding course delivery from Monday 11th May 2020 and schools and delegates contacted accordingly.

As you can appreciate we have a changing landscape so this situation will be reviewed regularly. We will keep you up to date.
In addition we have attached a booklet of advice, suggestions and useful links to support working at home in the event of full school closure. As you know we are following DFE advice which changes as the situation unfolds.
We have also quickly established a website with live hyperlinks to resources. Please bear with us as we try and develop this further.

With over 27 years' experience in education, including as a teacher, subject leader, assistant head and consultant across a variety of schools and counties in the north west, Helen openly admits to liking mathematics;
"I've always loved the challenge maths brings and see it as one of its strengths.
I love working with teachers and students and get to spend the majority of my working day trying to help more people 'get' maths and to learn to love it."
Helen is an experienced consultant, providing bespoke mathematics support and training for secondary schools and colleagues across Lancashire. She constructs and delivers bespoke developmental support packages for NQTs, non-specialists, teachers of mathematics, subject leaders and senior leaders overseeing mathematics.
Her training courses receive positive feedback and as part of the Lancashire Mathematics Team, she holds the NCETM CPD Providers standard. In addition to this, Helen works with both the NNW and Abacus Maths Hubs running innovation projects and as a member of the strategic board for Abacus.
In addition to her mathematics specific remit Helen's courses and bespoke work with NQTs of all specialisms are also very well received and feedback is excellent.
