Tea has been drunk in Britain for more than 350 years and it is the world's second favourite beverage behind water. The earliest references to tea relate to the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung over four thousand years ago.

It is made by processing the leaves of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. It is also a mild stimulant as it contains some caffeine.
