Free Access to Crick Software for Schools

Many children do not currently have access to educational software at home, and this will be particularly important for learners who usually benefit from additional reading and writing support when at school.

Therefore, Crick Software would like to offer every school free access for their pupils and teachers to use on their home devices. Choose from:

Clicker for primary schools – works on iPad, Chromebook, Windows & Mac.

DocsPlus for secondary schools – works on Chromebook, Windows & Mac.

If this would be of help to you or to any of the organisations that you work with, simply complete this access request form and we will be in touch with your access codes and installation instructions. Feel free to pass my email on to any of your schools or contacts.

Translated messages explaining school closure

We have translated the following message into a number of languages for schools to use:

Dear Parents/Carers,

The schools are closing from Friday 20 March after school for foreseeable future .They will be sharing work electronically for pupils to complete at home and they will be using emails to communicate with parents.  As much as possible, all pupils should establish good routines and be working on their home learning during school hours.

Please can you:

·       Create a special place for school work to be carried out during the day.

·       Minimise disruptions and ensure that the television is not on.

·       Create set times for work, allowing breaks and set eating times which is done away from class work.

Please contact your child's school if your child is unable to complete the work.
