Talk Boost Interventions

Feedback from Head Teacher

|

"Early Talk Boost and Talk Boost KS1 are amazing! I had to rob Peter to pay Paul for resources but it is worth it.

It has also transformed the practitioners' phonics teaching.

They have had an impact on language development."

Early Talk Boost

|

Early Talk Boost is an intervention program that narrows the gap between 3 to 4 year olds with language delay and their peers. It is delivered by a trained Early Years practitioner to up to 8 children. Initial findings show that after Early Talk Boost, children make statistically significant progress in their early language. On average they make 6 months progress after a nine week intervention helping them to catch up with other children their age. This is twice the amount of progress of children not having the intervention.

The Early Years pupil premium provides an opportunity for settings to enable children to move closer to fulfilling their potential.

This training will give participants the skills and knowledge to:

·         Understand the rationale behind Early Talk Boost

·         Identify appropriate children

·         Measure their progress

·         Deliver the intervention successfully.

The training can be delivered in your setting either as a one day course or as two shorter sessions.

The cost is £750 for the training plus £450 for your intervention pack. We do encourage Schools to cluster with other settings to reduce the cost.

The intervention pack includes: Participant Book, Intervention Manual, Parent Workshop materials, Tracker Tool, Toolkit of toys, puppets and musical instruments and 10 x 8 Jake and Tizzy story books.
