Positive behaviour and attendance at Key Stage 3 and 4 are pre-conditions for achieving raised standards in secondary schools. The  Behaviour and Attendance Strand, which was launched September 2003, will help schools develop effective whole-school approaches by providing audit, training and consultancy support. As part of the strand, we have also produced an audit to help schools recognise their good practice and build upon it, as well as focus on those areas which warrant further attention.
