Good Day at School? contains guidance for Lancashire schools on meeting the needs of children and young people in problem drug using families.
Every child matters. As a service available to all, schools have a key contribution to make if all children - including vulnerable groups - are to be healthy, stay safe and enjoy and achieve in life. It is important that every child and young person is able to make a positive contribution to their communities and to economic activity.
- The guidelines of Good Day at School? include:
- an overview of the key issues and the impact on children of their parents' problem drug use - - a set of key principles and examples of good practice which can be used for planning, implementing and reviewing policy and practice in schools; and
- - practical advice on how schools can support children affected by their parents' problem drug use. The format of this resource is an A4 booklet.
