Consultancy and school based training for PSHE is available across all key stages.  Training can be tailored to meet your specific needs, or there are a number of packages available including for example:

Barbara Farbon-Teaching and Learning Consultant PSHE


 

Barbara joined Learning Excellence following many years in the secondary sector, initially teaching Biology and Science and later becoming involved with PSHE. While teaching in Sefton she was seconded to the local authority Health Education Unit as a teacher adviser and her main remit was Drug Education and Healthy Schools across all phases. Following this Barbara went to be Head of PSHE, Citizenship and Careers at a large technology college where she managed a team who taught PSHE throughout the school. She has been an executive member of NSCoPSE, the National Association for Advisers and Inspectors of PSHE and has also been a representative on the Drug Education Forum.

 

She runs a wide range of successful courses and supports schools in a variety of ways. Her key areas of work include Sex and Relationship Education, Emotional Literacy, Circle Time and Schools Councils across all key stages. She is responsible for maintaining the PSHE area of the Lancashire Grid for Learning site and produces a termly PSHE Newsletter for all Lancashire schools.

 

Barbara has contributed to a number of Learning Excellence Publications for PSHE including:

  • Primary PSHE education scheme of Work, (In every Lancashire Primary School)
  • Sex and Relationships at Key Stages 3 &4 (In every Lancashire High School)
  • Sex and Relationships Post 16 (In every Lancashire College and Sixth Form)
  • Feelings CD Rom,
  • Primary SRE Scheme,
  • Economic Wellbeing and Financial Capability at Key stage 3.
