This Textease template makes a good starting point for children to focus on the combining of text and graphics. For example:

• decide on a short message select a the text size, colour and font
• position it on the page and turn it upside down
• add a picture in the bottom right that is appropriate to your message
• add a front message and
• select a the text size, colour and font

Print out your page.

Fold it in four and you have a card which will stand up.

Looking at effects produced by different fonts and graphics. A series of 7 lessons for this Unit. Althought the lesson plan refers to Word and Pendown, other packages such as Primary Writer and Textease can be used.

Aims:

• To develop students creativity using technology.
• To use strategies that support all students including able and talented students.
• To showcase talent in Lancashire schools.
• For students produce electronic stories.

 

Teachers use the images and/ or the music as stimulus material for stories or poems. The graphics or music may be incorporated by the students in their stories or poems. Finished presentations can be sent to the LGfL for showing online.
