EPICT eSafety Certificated Course

The European Pedagogical ICT Licence (EPICT) is a proven, effective professional development scheme that enables individuals to demonstrate their competency and understanding of the benefits of using technology in an educational context.

The EPICT eSafety Awareness Certificate is a stand-alone qualification that has been designed not only to increase awareness of potential threats to children or young people when using online or mobile technologies, but also to balance these with the benefits. The course materials support participants in identifying the issues which exist in and beyond the school and provide practical guidance in addressing these to ensure users are protected and make informed choices regarding their engagement with technology.  The qualification, which is recognised internationally, is awarded on completion of the course and a practice based assignment, acknowledging a commitment to keeping children safe.

The course is open to anyone who works directly with children or young people, including teachers, support staff, governors and associated organisations. Training may take the form of:

·         Face to face 1 day course – £210 (includes EPICT registration fee)

·         INSET – for schools (please contact for details)

All training options include EPICT registration, access to course materials and support from accredited EPICT trainers/assessors.
