E-learning Safeguarding Course

Safeguarding is a very current and pertinent issue for all schools and One to One Tuition could be a very relevant consideration for Head Teachers. All tutors should receive safeguarding training from your school as you would give it to all new staff.

However, we are mindful of the absolute need to protect and safeguard children and staff and we are offering this link where Tuition Leads can request that tutors demonstrate that they have at the very least completed this equivalent Level 1 course.

Information from the relevant officers about using this course is as follows:

The Level 1 e-learning course for 'Safeguarding and Protecting Children'.

New users will have to register using the "not a member"? register link and must do so using a unique e-mail address (ie. not a generic or team mail address).

Once authorised to access the system you will be sent a user name and password. Any problems with passwords and accessing the system should be directed to contactpoint@ where one of the team will respond.

Once you have completed the course there will be a knowledge test with a pass mark of 18 out of 20.

This is not intended to replace statutory agencies' Level 1 course but may be useful for voluntary agencies without access to Level 1.'
